The median hotspot tracked on Helium Tracker earns 4.5× the network median and sits in the top 27% of all earning hotspots. - Source. The Helium Foundation’s public reward-share oracle (
mobile_network_reward_shares_v1), read from the public, requester-paysfoundation-poc-data-requester-paysS3 bucket — the authoritative record of what each hotspot earned. We sum data-transfer and proof-of-coverage rewards per hotspot per day. Figures are independently computed by Helium Tracker from public network data and may differ from amounts ultimately claimed on-chain. - Earners only. The oracle lists only hotspots that earned something that day. Many deployed hotspots earn nothing and never appear — so the true typical deployed hotspot earns less than the median shown here.
- USD. Earnings are paid in HNT and converted at the end-of-day HNT price, so dollar figures move with the token as well as with activity.
- “Tracked” comparison. An aggregate over the hotspots our users track (114 on the latest day) — never any individual hotspot or account. It’s a self-selected sample and not representative of the whole network.
